Built in 1902 and renovated in the 1920s, The Thompson House Inn stands as a beautiful reminder of a proper southern home from the Art Deco Era. Situated on the banks of beautiful Deer Creek in Leland’s Historic District, The Thompson House Inn welcomes guests from around the world who are lucky enough to find themselves spending time in the most Southern place on earth – the Mississippi Delta. The Thompson House Inn has been part of Leland, Mississippi history since 1902, and this iconic house is so much more than a place to stay. Here you will be welcomed with warm hospitality and immersed in the Delta Region’s rich history. Whether you’re following the Mississippi Blues Trail and the home of BB King, or discovering the place that inspired Muppet-creator Jim Henson to create Kermit the Frog, The Thompson House welcomes you to discover life from a by-gone era.

 

The Thompson House Inn offers lodging, dining, and a place to gather for local residents. The Inn’s recent renovations have breathed new life into the Mississippi Delta landmark. At the Thompson House Inn, guests experience the unique charm and sophistication of this elegant historic Leland, Mississippi home. Renovations include the addition of The 1902 Thompson House Restaurant & Bar, an additional guest room, upgraded infrastructure, added landscaping and additional guest services. We desire for guests, both local and discerning travelers, to come enjoy the leisure of our courtyard and gardens, stately Greek Revival porch with rocking chairs, delicious meals accompanied by local Jazz artists, and craft cocktails & bar bites in The 1902 T.H. Restaurant and Bar.  The Inn is suitable for young adults age 13 and older – 18 and older may enter The 1902 T.H.’s Bar when accompanied by a parent.
